Grand Rapids Boudoir Photographer // Alyssia!
This fall I held a boudoir mini session day. It was so fun and so crazy! All of the ladies were absolutely lovely…making me love boudoir photography even more. Alyssia was one of those ladies. Here is what she has to say about her experience:
What did you think about your boudoir experience?
I loved it! I was very nervous going in at first. I didn’t know what to expect or if it was going to be awkward. Kellie had music and drinks ready. She even had sample photos and jewelry I could use. It made the whole experience seem like a day out with your best friend. There was lots of laughter, which helped keep my confidence up. I loved every minute of it!
Is there anything that you wish you would have done differently?
Maybe figure out how to photoshop a Nicki Minaj bottom into some of my photos haha? Nothing really I liked everything about my shoot and so did my husband 🙂
Did you have misconceptions going into the shoot?
I thought these shoots were for women who were skinny and had rocking bodies. That’s all you see advertised mostly anyways. I think naturally I felt insecure at first about my body as it is. Kellie really helped in making it feel natural. She used poses and fixed hair so that the shots came out perfect. And she was so open to doing whatever I wanted to do.
How did you feel during the session?
I felt like million bucks. I think the music really helped amp up the confidence! As well as the conversation….. it wasn’t like she was just there to take photos. She made it fun and light-hearted.
What did your hubby think of the photos?
He was speechless. Just a bunch of ooo’s and ah’s… lol. Also, I don’t think he stopped smiling.
Anything else you’d like to add?
It’s just a great experience. I think every lady should try it. I thought going into it you had to be fit and skinny. I read Kellie’s blog post about hers and that really got the ball rolling. I absolutely love all of my photos and not one did I say “I look fat” about. They all turned out better than I ever imagined! I recommend this as an experience everyone should try! (as long as you have an awesome photographer like Kellie)
