How do you like being married? Does it feel any different than before?
Things aren’t too different since we had lived together before getting married. But having that extra level of commitment between us is a wonderful feeling and we are loving being married!
Was there anything that you would have done differently on your wedding day or did it go exactly as planned?
I can honestly say I wouldn’t have changed a thing! The day was so much more than we ever could have imagined and we loved every moment!
Did anything crazy or funny happen that we may not know about?
We ended up being one bouquet short for the bridesmaids during pictures but our florist was able to get another one made in time for the ceremony! Also, while walking down the aisle, my very long veil got stuck and almost came right off! Luckily, someone working at the venue was right there to unhook me and no one really noticed!
Did you have a favorite vendor and/or favorite detail from the day?
There were so many amazing vendors we had for the big day but my top three were our caterer, our videographer, and my wedding planner, Amber Kneibel! We still hear from guests about how great out food was (KJ Catering) and I still love watching our wedding video from Pauley Productions! Amber, who owns Bailey and James Boutique in Rockford, did such an amazing job of executing our vision and tied in so many wonderful little details! And of course, our photos were amazing!
What were your favorite images from your day? Was there any special meaning behind any of them?
It’s so hard to pick because I really loved them all, but the ones from our first look are just beautiful! You really captured the way we both felt in that moment and you were able to catch Ryan wiping a tear from his eye! We also love the photos of our first dance as well!
(And a few of my favorites!)
Do you have any advice for brides that are currently planning their weddings?
Relax and enjoy the day! Everyone that told me that the day flies by was so right! Focus on what really matters that day and don’t get stressed about the little things that may not go exactly as planned! You plan so much for a day that goes by so fast, don’t miss out on one moment!
Last one… Where did you spend your honeymoon? Tell us about it!
We spent a week in Rivera Maya, Mexico at the Excellence. It was amazing and we can’t wait to go back! It was the perfect way to unwind after the wedding and spend some uninterrupted time together soaking up the sunshine!
