Grand Rapids Photographer // Mom + Me Sessions!

Hey friends!  Last year I started offering ‘Mom + Me’ mini sessions.  I photographed them right around Mother’s Day and we had SO. MUCH. FUN!  The sun was shining, birds were chirping and I enjoyed my time with each and every family that booked a time slot!

The idea behind these sessions is simply….to remember life as it is in this moment!  I know that as a mom (not only a photographer, but as a mother), I am often not in photos.  I usually am the one thinking to take them, almost always on my phone (and yes…I do own SEVERAL professional cameras lol), but it is SO important for my kids to remember that I was there too.  Placing a small printed photo of my oldest, Addy, and I on her nightstand in her favorite photo frame or even sending a new printed photo to work with my hubby, Joe, for his desk is so special.  Little reminders of how much we love one another never goes dull.

Something that I didn’t expect when starting these sessions was the kindness of others.  So far, last year and already this year, other women have been purchasing time slots for their friends and gifting them mini sessions to share, out of love and friendship.  Not only does this pay a huge compliment to me saying that my skill is worthy of being given as a gift, but seeing others use it to show kindness makes my heart so full!!  If this is something that you’d like to do….just let me know!  I even have cute gift cards that we can send to sweeten the surprise. 🙂  It would be the PERFECT Mother’s Day gift too!
