Grand Rapids Senior Photography // More Than A Face – Jenna!
Jenna is a sweet, kind-hearted girl with an infectious smile. She attends West Michigan Christian High School and is one of our 2015 “More Than A Face” senior reps. I am so honored to have girls like Jenna representing our mission and spreading it throughout their own schools. From what I know about Jenna….she fits the mission statement perfectly! She even wrote it for us! I’m sure she has some proud parents 🙂

What are your plans for after high school?
I do plan on going to college, but I’m not sure where or for what yet.
What do you like to do outside of school?
I like hanging out with my friends and my boyfriend and also listening to music, reading, watching Netflix, and I’m looking into volunteering more often at True North over the summer.
What is something that makes you unique?
I’m a perfectionist and a slob at the same time haha my room is atrocious.
In high school, what is something that makes it so difficult these days?
I’d say a huge problem in high school is the constant drive to compete with others, in sports, grades, relationships, and appearance. People value you for who you seem on the outside, whether or not it reflects who you are inside. We put too much value in other peoples opinions of us, which causes insecurity, doubts, and leading a fake life. I think it separates you from truly connecting with others. I’m not sure there is any simple solution, but I would say to put your value in Christ, who never changes, and who values you for the person you are. Once you have your value in him, you take yourself out of the loop of always competing. This is NOT easy to do. Our culture tells us to strive to be perfection, not look for humility. But the benefits of looking to Christ are greater and more rewarding than any clawing cat fight to get to the top. Having friends who share this mindset is extremely helpful as well.
How has your experience with the MTAF campaign been so far?
I’ve had so much fun honestly!! I love the message and the photo shoot was awesome. (I’m super excited to see the pictures!!) A lot of my friends have been asking me about the shoot, which is awesome because then I get to tell them about MTAF and how awesome Mrs. Hetler is as a photographer.
