It’s that time of year again when the leaves on the trees aren’t all that pretty and the gorgeous fluffy snow hasn’t covered all the brown yet so we decided to do something different this year for this family…..downtown Grand Rapids family photos! It was super chilly, but we survived and have another year in the books with one of my favorite families 🙂
This momma is my oldest friend….we have been friends for about 35 years to be exact! (Oh shoot….I’m giving up my age!!) Her mom started babysitting me when I was only six months old so she has literally been my friend for my entire life. It’s not very often that someone is as lucky as I am to have a lifelong friend! Her sweet twin girls were born the day before my birthday and are one month older than my daughter, so built in friends between our families. We were even due only five days apart with the girls. We didn’t plan it, but couldn’t have done better if we tried!!

I just love this wall, but I think just about everyone else in Grand Rapids does too. We weren’t the only ones there taking photos that day haha…

I really like this random sitting on the ground photo too. I think it would be a pretty spot in the summer when those trees are full of green leaves 🙂
The Sixth Street bridge is always a pretty spot…but the wind over the river was SO cold!!
