Grand Rapids Family Photographer // Renner’s Family in a Field of Wildflowers!
There are some people that you just get along with. You have similar goals in life, advocate for similar people and beliefs, share laughs and heartbreaks over many of the same things…some people are just meant to be in your life. That is exactly how I feel about this beautiful family.
Before we had our daughter, Gabby, Alsae was the first person with limb differences that we had ever met in person. A mutual friend connected us, so one day, we met for dinner. Jeremy and Mallory were so gracious, answering any questions that we had while this sweet little girl was growing safely inside my belly. I was completely in awe of Alsae, sitting across the table from me, nothing holding her back. Her head full of beautiful curls and an endless smile on her face. Seeing this family together, smiling, laughing and not letting something that society would call “unfortunate” get them down gave me hope. Soon, this would be our family, raising a beautiful child who is different but awesome like sweet Alsae. This family surely was our saving grace at that time and we will forever be grateful to them!
Since our first meeting, Renner has been added to the family. What a beauty she is!
The rain held off for us during photo night….but those clouds were looking a little shady….
This momma right here, I love having her to talk to. Honest, real, raw conversations that her and I both can understand. It’s so nice having someone that gets it <3
Alsae loves her daddy!
Goodness….that cute face! (And little mouse in her hand…!)
I always take photos of just mom and dad at the end of the session, but these are super special. Parents of special needs kids don’t get enough time alone…so I made sure to capture a few of just them. I’m sure they have a hard time thinking back to the days before their lives changed so drastically…when they were young, wild and free…just the two of them. I know I think about that sometimes…how easy it was. And I know, both of them probably wouldn’t change it for the world!
Love you guys!!
xoxo – Kellie
