Being a Grand Rapids family photographer in the spring definitely has it perks…

I have said it over and over…..I LOVE photographing the same families each year. It’s so fun capturing them as they grow, seeing how the interactions between siblings change and just become friends with them.  My job is seriously the greatest!!

During the whole five minutes that apple blossoms stay on the trees here in West Michigan, I met up with Ellie’s family at a local apple orchard for a soft and simple spring family session.  We laughed, we played with all the “flowers” (aka weeds….), dad dodged the pollen and we stopped here and there for a family photo.  I think that is the best way to tackle family photos.  Usually no one walks away hating it….or at least they never tell me 😉
