Grand Rapids Wedding Photographer // Steve & Annette – Married at The Goei Center!

This wedding was so much fun.  Although it was one of the rainiest and darkest wedding days that I have ever photographed….you would never have known it.  If you asked Steve and Annette….they didn’t care one bit about the rain.  That is what I love about them!   They are so laid back.  All that they cared about that day is that they were becoming husband and wife.  Finally!

I posted their engagement photos a few months ago with their incredibly fun story about how they met…..catch up with that story here!

Here we are, three years later, at their wedding day!  It brings tears to my eyes typing this because it feels like such a long time coming to see my sweet friend finally marry her best friend.  When they are together you can tell that they were made for one another….it just took a silly dating game to make it happen.  I am SO thankful that Joe and I were able to be there to be a part of it all….what a blessing to us!  (On that note, be prepared for a mega long post….!)

I loved Annette’s dress.  I was seriously one of the prettiest I have ever seen!

Annette’s godfather gave her this set of pearls.  Each year he added a few on, turning it into this stunning set for her to wear on her wedding day.

We realized the next day that the guys never actually put on their boutonnieres…but here is a photo of how nice they were anyway!

It was literally pouring….all day.  That didn’t stop this bride from looking gorgeous!

They thought I was crazy….but where else are we going to get cover from the rain and decent light other than a parking garage?!

Steve’s navy suit was perfect.

The Goei Center was beautiful and so were the tables.

They forgot their cake knife so they ended borrowing someone’s pocket knife from the crowd….haha..!

Annette’s dad…I don’t think this one needs much explanation..
