Grand Rapids Wedding Photographer // “LOVE” Inspiration Shoot!

Inspiration shoots are always so much fun…..but this one is probably my most favorite yet!  We wanted to do a fun cocktail engagement party shoot with a little twist.  Read on to see what happens!

Michelle, with Red Heels Events, and I wanted to go with pretty Valentine’s Day colors.

Love the “punch-drunk in love” name that Michelle created.  So fun!

Posh Petals ALWAYS does an amazing job with the floral centerpieces!

Don’t all the ladies look gorgeous?!  Cheeky Strut helped style them for the day.

I love how each of the ladies have their own fun and different look for the “cocktail party”.

Shay is so cute…she has no idea what is coming next!

Another stylist from Cheeky Strut showed up to re-style the ladies hair….another fun hair style…AND a sneaky decoy for the surprise preparation!

Sweet, handsome John is going to propose!

With the room all set up and the candles all lit, it’s time to bring Shay back down to her man…

She thought she was coming back down for more photos….but instead, had a couple stops along the way.  John wrote two love letters for her to read, one at each table…

She walked into the room…and there he was.  He told her why he loves her so much and then got down on one knee….asking her to spend the rest of their lives together!

Of course, she said YES!

We ran back outside to snap a few engagement photos! 

All of their friends were waiting back inside to celebrate!

I think this was almost the last photo of the day….Shay was so happy…makes all the work and lying worth it!

Congratulations John & Shay!  You two deserve the best.  I can’t wait to see where the future takes you…..
