The High Five GR Wedding | Jeff & Amanda’s New Year’s Eve Wedding

All I can say is….wow!  This High Five GR wedding was such a fun and crazy day!  Jeff and Amanda sure know how to throw a party.  These two were married a few weeks ago in Cabo, but threw a fun NYE party for their friends and family back in Grand Rapids to celebrate their new beginning.  From aerialists pouring champagne to cuddling puppies….this wedding reception was nothing like I have ever photographed before.  There was so much to look at, so much to do and so much fun to be had!  If that all wasn’t enough, Jeff and Amanda are kind and fun people who made us feel right at home.  What a fun day!

Here are some (Who am I kidding…?!  Here are a ton…!) of my favorites!

Amanda’s dress is from a bridal shop in downtown GR called Ali Nicole…you HAVE to check it out!

This is Amanda’s second dress that she changed into later in the evening.  I don’t know which one is more gorgeous?!

Erick Gerson is AH-MA-ZING at making our brides even more beautiful than they already are!

I’d say that Jeff is a pretty handsome groom himself!

It was pouring rain pretty much all day, so we ran over to the Grand Rapids Art Museum to take advantage of their covered patio for portraits.  Thank goodness for places like this with outdoor natural light on the rainy days!

Seriously Amanda, you were absolutely stunning!

After portraits, I headed over to the venue, The High Five GR, to take photos of the decor.  This wasn’t just regular reception decor.  This was the most over-the-top (in a good way), fun, exciting and perfect New Year’s Eve wedding decor that I have ever seen.  I didn’t even know where to start…

Damsel Floral created these centerpieces to look like fireworks.  Aren’t they just perfect?!

I love the combination of high tables and low tables, small tables and larger tables, linens and farm tables.  So much texture….a photographers dream!

Kelly from All Buttoned Up Events really made this event space sparkle with her design.  It was so fun seeing it all come to life.  (And her name is the same as mine…so we were bound to be an awesome team 😉  )

There was even a lounge area with some soft seating if you wanted to sneak away from all of the loud music and rest your feet from dancing.  I think they thought of everything…

When guests entered, they were greeted with a champagne glass tied with a balloon.  They cut the balloon and it floated to the ceiling and walked to the end of the red carpet where they met me for a photo in front of the backdrop!

These two cuties pretty much look like celebrities 🙂

Once they entered the event space, they were poured champagne by aerialists….so fun!

The bartenders were doing tricks all night!

Then there were the puppies…..

And, oh my goodness, did everyone LOVE the puppies!

I’m pretty sure each of the puppies found their forever home that evening!

Desserts by The Cakabakery never disappoint.  If you made a New Year’s resolution to start a diet….now is the time to ditch that diet and run straight to The Cakabakery.  Trust me!

This was one of my favorite things.  Halfway through the night, the uplighting changed, Amanda changed her dress and makeup and the whole event space shifted into party mode!

10, 9, 8, 7……..Happy New Year!!

Wow!  What a FUN night!  Congratulations Jeff and Amanda.  Thank you SO much for trusting us with your memories.  We hope you enjoy them for decades to come!!
