Tim and Rachel’s wedding day was unique but also something that has become a trend in these Covid years. They officially were married last year on their original wedding day but celebrated this year at Studio D2D in Grand Rapids and I was blessed to be their wedding photographer!
When these two first met at college years ago I highly doubt they thought they’d be getting married….during a pandemic….rescheduling two times….all while having the best attitudes about it. I can’t imagine the rollercoaster this past year must have been, but seeing the tears welling up in the eyes of their loved ones makes me know it was all worth it.
And finally being able to celebrate your wedding one year later just means one HECK of an anniversary party!
Rachel’s dress was so pretty. I already saw it last year when we met up in Petoskey for photos (we took some for fun just in case this celebration didn’t happen in 2021) so these two have LOTS of gorgeous portraits!
Yes, these invites are from their original wedding date last year….but that’s when they actually got married so I wanted them to have photos of them 🙂
These dusty rose bridesmaid dresses looked stunning on these ladies!
Celebrating on this day was worth every bit of work for these images of Rachel and her mom. She will certainly treasure these forever!
Girlfriend, that veil.
I love, love this photo of Rachel and her dad.
Tim had already seen Rachel in her dress (twice) but Rachel hadn’t seen Tim in his suit yet….so we did a reverse first look (thanks to a bridesmaid for the suggestion!).
Love it! These two just went with it and had fun this day 🙂
We decided to go to a rooftop to get some great city views – and I’m so happy we did.
Rachel – wow. You are stunning!
Tim looking all handsome in his suit.
If you are thinking about a cathedral veil – do it!
This was such a fun bridal party. They hung in there through all of the reschedules and had fun until the end. Having good friends and family is such a blessing!
Their sweetheart table was perfect. Love the linen!!
All the windows on three sides of the venue makes me one happy photographer!
Finally! That first dance.
We had hoped for a nice sunset but it was pretty cloudy. We still went outside for a few last photos to end the night and just take in the last few minutes of the day.
Goodness, I love this one of Rachel!
Tim & Rachel – I’m not sure where to even start! Thank you for trusting me to capture your day. Thank you for asking me to be a part of your marriage journey. Thank you for being so gracious and kind to work with through all the rollercoaster of the past year. I pray that your day ended up being amazing and that you’ll love these images for decades to come. It was truly an honor being there for it all.
xoxo – Kellie
