Being the wedding photographer for this Saugatuck wedding was a dream! Eric and Allie were endless joy all day long, finally being able to see their wedding ideas come to fruition. Friends, family and loved ones soaking in all the moments at every turn with delicious food, thoughtful woodland details and radiant smiles. It was a beautiful day.
When Allie started telling me about the details for her wedding day I couldn’t help but be overly excited….you’ll see why!
Her dress was stunning with the delicate embroidered details.
The earrings she wore came from her mother’s collection.
This getting ready space is what dreams are made of! White and more white with big windows and a gorgeous bride in the middle.
Goodness Allie, you were stunning!
It was pretty hot that day but we decided to do their first look in this gorgeous area of the Saugatuck Dunes Park – so Eric could get the perfect view of his bride for the first time.
A few portraits then we headed back to some shade….
Allie really had hoped for some photos inside the woods throughout the dunes to go along with her woodland wedding theme. They received a lot of congratulations from onlookers along the way!
The pearl kimono that she wore over her gown for some portraits was my favorite detail. It just added so much fun and texture to each and every image.
It’s like the sunshine pushed through the canopy just to find the two of them.
This image I adore. Allie is glowing – absolutely breathtaking!!
We went back to Allie’s parent’s home where the ceremony was held in the backyard of their ‘gnome home”. Such a peaceful and beautiful setting.
Seriously – details everywhere!!
Married!
Ok, get ready for some jaw-dropping reception details!
All the little lights were mesmerizing when light up at night.
I love, love, love clear tents but they certainly have a time and a place. They basically act like a greenhouse so a hot day becomes hotter. Thankfully, this tent was placed in the shade so it was just about perfect!
You guys, The Everyday Chef and Wife are top notch. Their food is over-the-top amazing. I can see why they have been at several of my past events!
Once the sun started going down, we headed to the beach for some golden hour photos and it was magical. Everyone was relaxed, the stress of the day was gone and we just enjoyed the sunset.
I don’t even know which photos are my favorite. I have so many. So, so many.
You two…just wow.
We headed back to the party and it was hopping….ready for us to join in on the fun! Allie’s dad sang her a song before their first dance which certainly left most eyes full of happy tears.
Then Eric and Allie closed the events of the day with a surprise choreographed dance which was basically the best thing ever. Awesome.
Eric & Allie – I seriously don’t have enough good things to say about your wedding day. Thank you for allowing me to be such a small part of it. Your day will always be one to remember and I hope these photos are images that you love for years and years to come!!
xoxo – Kellie
