How do you like being married?  Does it feel any different than before?

Married life is great!  It doesn’t seem really too much different than before we were married since we bought a house and moved in together 5 months before our wedding date.

Was there anything that you would have done differently on your wedding day or did it go exactly as planned?

Everything went really well!  We were really glad that we had the first look and got to see each other before the ceremony.  That helped ease both our nerves and made it so we could really focus on each other and the ceremony instead of just being a bundle of nerves.

Did anything crazy or funny happen that we may not know about?

We had to change our wedding venue 3 months before our wedding date.  Not an easy task with a summer July 4th wedding in West Michigan!  Our new venue was AWESOME and we feel that the change may have been a blessing in disguise.  Our wedding was exactly how we wanted it to be and the new venue COULDN’T have been any better!

Did you have a favorite vendor and/or favorite detail from the day?

All of our vendors were awesome!  They truly worked incredibly well together.  Each one had the other’s phone numbers and coordinated everything simultaneously.  It was awesome!  We were so appreciative of that!

What were your favorite images from your day? Was there any special meaning behind any of them?

We loved all of our images!  Kristi and Isabel did an awesome job and were so great to work with!  Our venue included a marina and one of the marina occupants invited us on their yacht to take some photos.   The owner came over to Steve and shook his hand and said ” Congratulations! Why don’t you guys head up on my boat for some photos”.  That was pretty cool!  The boat was beautiful!

Do you have any advice for brides that are currently planning their weddings?

We would definitely do the first look to ease pre wedding jitters!

Last one… Where did you spend your honeymoon? Tell us about it!

We will be spending our honeymoon in Turks & Caicos during the end of January/first of February 2016! When you have a lakeside July 4th wedding who wants to take a honeymoon in the summer! 🙂
