This family session by the lake was simple and relaxed. Mom, dad, and their three boys spent time together on the paddle boat and dock, looking for fish and frogs in the lily pads. The kids were curious, pointing things out as the family enjoyed the calm setting. Their connection and easygoing nature came through in each photo, reflecting their time by the water. Each time I capture this family, we think of a new location….this time was photos on a private lake in Michigan. So fun!

Towards the end we had a surprise rainstorm and lived out our Notebook dreams. I think it was rather fun but I also was the one hiding under the tree with my camera haha….

I loved just following them around, watching them explore. It created such casual photos that I know momma loved.
