Lake Michigan Family Photographer // Felipe’s Family!

This past weekend, my family and I drove up to Ludington to meet up with this absolutely gorgeous family.  Annette is one of my good friends from way back….I honestly don’t remember when we started being friends, but it was a looong time ago, I promise 🙂  Her parents recently moved to the lakeshore so what a perfect setting for an updated family photo.  If you aren’t from Michigan and are viewing these images then you probably don’t know that our weather has been crazy here lately.  SO many storms and just buckets of rain every or every other day.  We saw a sliver of good weather and went for it (even though we still had hurricane force winds haha!).

When doing a session like this that have multiple smaller families within the larger family, I always like to take each small family aside and shoot a quick mini session.  So much fun!

It was windy, Michelle and Alfredo are wet and no one could hear me give direction, but hey….the scenery is gorgeous!  And after all, we were at the beach….those things just fit the setting 🙂

I have to add….after we wrapped up photos, we went back to their home and ate dinner on the deck.  We quickly finished and watched a crazy storm roll in with a HUGE lightning show and lots of thunder.

I think we finished just in time.  Whew.
