Grand Rapids Wedding Photographer // Flower Bouquet Recipe!

Last week I met up with Shelby from The Day’s Design and Kaci from Just Delightful Events to photograph some of their floral magic. Flowers in general are so pretty, but when these two ladies put their hands on them…they turn out gorgeous!

So…I’m one of those people who thinks they can DIY just about anything. I kinda felt this way about flowers too. I love buying loose stems of flowers to make into my own arrangements for my home. It’s fun, simple, creative and leaves me smiling. After watching these ladies put together some bridal bouquets, I realized that there is so much more to it than I thought. So much more of an art form than is led onto…. I came to the conclusion that this is one more area that should be left to the professionals on a wedding day! The flowers below are the “before” shot of the loose stems.

You can’t really just take a handful of flowers and crunch them together like I had somewhat thought…. It’s all about placement, choosing the right flowers and the right greens!
