Grand Rapids Photographers // Made My Week – Vol 34!
Sometimes, when you have a creative job, you start feeling a little “stale”. Locations get boring, poses aren’t cutting it for you anymore and burnout sets in. I think that everyone deals with these issues as a photographer…..if not, then you may not be human…! The only way to refresh is to take a few steps back and hopefully clear your mind. This weekend I’ll be doing just that…..walking away from the computer to spend time with some of my favorites and come back on Tuesday seeing the world in a softer, prettier light. Everyone needs time like this!
Every once in a while I receive a nice and honest note from someone wonderful. Notes like these give me a jolt of motivation and help remind me why I do what I do. Thank you Shelley for these kind words…..they definitely made my week!
“Shout out to you! I have seen you change and perfect your craft over the years and you are amazing. You don’t have to resort to gimmicks and cutesy because the subject is the star. Your skin tones, light, mood…all just gorgeous. No distracting or overpowering background stuff. Everything points to the star like it’s singing that high opera note! Hahaha you know what I mean. It’s like you release the subject and they look their very best. That is a gift!!! Jenna says, “I look better than me, but I still look like me.” It’s hard to describe, but we sure can tell when a photographer doesn’t have it. Rock on!“
And…..all posts are better with photos..so here is a little peek of what’s in store for next week!
