Grand Rapids Photographer // Welcome Cru!

Being asked to photograph special moments in someone’s life is such an honor to me.  Knowing that you trust me enough to invite me into the most sacred and personal times of your life is truly one of the most treasured parts of my life….and this day was exactly that.  There were times of laughter, so many moments of tears (from me), minutes of anticipation and excitement.  Jay and Mieka – thank you from the bottom of my heart for asking me to be there for this wonderful day.  Cru is absolutely perfect!

If you were to ask Mieka, I think she would have to say that this little guy arrived a little fast and furious.  I’m not sure if that is a good thing or not, but either way, he is here!  With her amazing support team and Mieka’s super tough attitude, she powered through.  To say I was impressed and proud of her is an understatement!

There are so many moving and powerful images from this middle of the night experience, but I’m going to keep those sacred and private for this sweet family and only share a few.  Enjoy this wonderful moment this morning and come back next week to see some more photos of Cru’s newborn session at home…all clean and cuddly with his brother and sister!
