Grand Rapids Photographer // Weight Watcher Meal Planning + Recipes!
At the beginning of this year, Joe and I decided to give Weight Watchers a try. After a few weeks in we decided that we absolutely loved the program. Not only was the point counting effortless with their easy to use app, but we loved that we were able to eat whatever we wanted….we just had to account for it and change up our diet for the rest of the day. If we ate something less healthy early in the day that just meant we couldn’t indulge later and so forth. The best part….we were seeing results (Well…him more than me, but isn’t that always the case?! How can men lose weight SO much easier than women?!?!).
I started sharing some recipes on Instagram and promised to share some here…..SO…here we are! As promised, some of my favorites from the past few weeks! If you like this type of post, leave me some feedback and I’ll do it again soon 🙂
Cowboy Turkey Burger – This was super yummy! I usually try to eat my burgers without a bun to save on points and add guac and a pickle for my condiments. Delish!
Deconstructed Chicken Gyro – We eat these without the pita (which I do miss so much), but it saves on points and makes this dinner super healthy!
Egg Roll In A Bowl – This was SO good! I was actually surprised by how much I liked it. For our version, we used ground turkey and it was perfect!
Lemon-Garlic Chicken and Asparagus – Yum, yum and yum! I love chicken and asparagus so I was bound to enjoy this meal 🙂
White Bean Chicken Chili – I just LOVE soup…of any kind really and this one was no different. It is supposed to be white bean chili though…and I didn’t have any so I used red kidney beans and it was just as tasty!
Skinny Tater Tot Casserole – Who doesn’t love a little comfort food once in a while?! If you let me, I could sit down and eat a whole bag of tater tots…but it’s about portion control, right?!
Healthy Chicken Parm – Oohhh! This was a good one! I followed the recipe for the chicken and baked the green beans in the oven as a side with a little olive oil and our fave seasonings.
Southwestern Goulash – This was good, but probably my least favorite of the bunch. We love flavor so it needed a little bit more of a kick for me. Add in a little salsa or sriracha and you are good to go!
Baked Chicken Fajitas – These are always a good standby and we are actually having them for dinner tonight too! I usually don’t eat them with tortillas (although you totally can), but I often like to top a small bed of brown rice with the fajita mix. I can’t wait for dinner now!
Chicken Enchilada Bake – I love anything mexican food related, so this is right up my alley. I also love sour cream, but adding that on would be my total allowance of daily WW points, so I have found that fat free greek yogurt is a perfect substitute for me. Win!!
I hope you enjoyed this post, friends. I like to eat healthy but I also like to keep it real….yummy food but not always meals that will weight us down or add SO much sugar to our daily diets. It’s a balance…right?
xoxo – Kellie
