Grand Rapids Photographer // What Made My Week – Vol 35!

This past weekend was SO much fun.  We celebrated Addison’s 3 1/2 birthday, so of course, this made my week!

We don’t have birthday parties every year because we have so many people to invite.  I think we invited over 70 people to this party….with a huge family and lots of good friends, it’s bound to be a good time!

We didn’t want to spend a fortune, so we DIY’d as much as possible.  I had a lot of fun designing the invitations.

Shelby, from The Day’s Design, helped design the party and created all of the centerpieces and fun paper pinwheels.

I think these “ADDY” balloons were one of my favorite details.

I have to give my husband some major credit.  Shelby and  I had an idea to create some sort of tent over the cake and drinks very last minute…..and without hesitation, he whipped this up!

Some vintage games and a prize station!

The next big surprise was a visit from Dee Jay the Clown who did a magic show and made fun balloon animals for all the kids.

Ok……maybe he made some for a few adults too…

The menu consisted of a couple “waitresses” passing out walking tacos, hot dogs, fruit cups, veggie cups and chips.  My chef-in-training nephew, Joe, even made homemade mini funnel cakes.  They were delish!

Thank you SO much to everyone who helped us celebrate!  And a HUGE thank you to Shelby for all her hard work and time making this party perfect!  Thanks to my awesome intern, Isabel, for helping take photos so I could enjoy the day…..you are the best!
