Grand Rapids Photographer // Made My Week – Vol 20!

I love the holidays.  The smells, the people, the giving, the lights and the snow!  This time of year is my absolute favorite!  This past week there were so many things that made my week.

One HUGE thing that made this week/month/year special was that my baby sister graduated from college!  I am so proud of her for doing this.  I’m so sad I wasn’t able to attend the graduation, but am thrilled nonetheless.  Being 25 years old with three children and an over full time job…..she’s quite the Superwoman in my eyes!

Some other things worth mentioning are my always amazing clients/friends.  They are so sweet and so kind…sending me gifts to show their thankfulness.  Although gifts aren’t always necessary, they really do show me how much they care and how our relationship is more than only a business transaction.  The thought put into the gifts always makes me feel extra special.  People are so much more important to me than anything else….as are the relationships I have gained through my years in this industry.

Something else that made this week great was our annual Hetler Photography Christmas party.  This was the third year that we have had our fun get together….growing each year!   Hopefully next year we will have another person in our group!  Joe, Terra and Niki are absolutely amazing!  Without them, this year wouldn’t have been as fun, went as smooth or even been the same.  I am forever grateful for their help!

Lastly….my hubby made this week great!  Well…actually, he makes every week great.  He never ceases to amaze me….  I love surprises (well…good ones) and he loves surprising me.  Sometimes he’ll come home from work, walk in the door and tell me to close my eyes and stick out my hands.  Sometimes this makes me a little nervous because you never know what he is going to put in them!  This week….he did this to me and our little peanut.  He brought home a huge poinsettia for me and a tiny one for Addy.  The excitement in her eyes about made me cry!  Love that man!!!
