I absolutely love photographing newborn babies especially when their session takes place in their home near Grand Rapids. Being at home gives everyone a chance to just be at ease, allows big sisters to play in their own space with her own toys and is less work all around for mom and dad (well….as far as having to load the car and meeting me somewhere that is…). I always stick close to windows and rooms that have light pouring in…but would you expect anything different ?!
This handsome little guy is Miles. He is only one week old and already has changed the world in the hearts of people that adore him. I was pretty much in love with his bright eyes and cute little wrinkles.
I usually come prepared with a few poses that I want to try but I’ve learned lately that it’s just best to go with the flow and let the kids lead. See where the pose is going rather than trying to make it happen. I think it’s working out just fine 🙂
I was lucky enough to be able to photograph John and Laura’s wedding over five years ago now. Time sure goes by quickly! I love watching their family grow…
