This family session that I took near Grand Rapids at their home is one of my favorites… We were able to include sweet Rufus, their older golden retriever, and be comfortable in the family’s space. Being able to customize a photo session for a family is so, so special!

I can’t wait to see how they use their images! Once you get past the hard part of choosing outfits…the last difficult part of family photos is deciding which ones to print!

Beautiful portraits are great but my favorites are these images that tell a story. Casual images that give a little peek into someone’s life. Simple and stunning!

Oh, this image. It just wouldn’t look the same in color…

We made sure to include Rufus in a lot of photos since he is getting older. It was so funny trying to wrangle him into position. Sweet pup!
