These downtown Grand Rapids engagement pictures were so fun to take. While leading up to the session, I had the chance to talk with Kenny and Jenna about their outfits, the upcoming weather for the shoot, locations, etc. We decided that even though it was going to be cold (I mean…it is still winter here in Michigan), we would just go for it anyway because we would have a gorgeous sunny Saturday for their engagement pictures. And let me tell you, that forecast was right!! I love a couple that will choose sunshine for their photos over staying warm…my kind of people!!

I absolutely loved Jenna’s outfit. Her gorgeous dress with that fun floral print that carried over into Kenny’s tie. Just perfect! The pops of color that their clothing brought into the photos was perfect for this time of year and really brought to life the monochromatic backgrounds that I always tend to love. Leading your eyes straight to the soon to be Mr & Mrs!

I love how happy you both look! While editing, I noticed your smiles getting bigger and bigger…which made me happier and happier 😉

Jenna – I think you already know this, but I am obsessed with your hair. You are one gorgeous lady!

That ring! I can’t wait to photograph it in detail later this summer!!

When we got over to the river it was so windy, but they never complained once. I kind of liked these two…can you tell?!
