Grand Rapids Birth Photographer // Baby Leo!

What an honor it was to be able to photograph Leo’s first breaths on this side of the belly!

Mary is one of our treasured “Hetler Brides” so when I found out that her hubby was going to be away at Marine Officer Training when Leo was born, I knew I wanted to be there to capture all the special moments that David wouldn’t be able to see in person.  I am SO glad that they will have these images to look back on forever!  C-section mommas are warriors!

I love that Mary’s mom was there to comfort her own baby girl while she brought another grandson into the world.  Moms are seriously the best.

Welcome Leo!

I remember being in that exact place as Mary….twice.  It’s scary, exciting and such a roller coaster.  All you want to do is hold that baby!

I honestly think this is the most beautiful image I have captured in my career.  Mary and Leo both look so at peace and exactly where they should be right at this moment.  What an amazing job I have!  (And here I go crying again….) (No, I’m not pregnant! haha..)

The image below shows so much strength to me.  Mary just went through something so great, and now she is resting with her miracle.
