Have you visited Frugthaven Farm yet for a wedding? If not a wedding, at least to stop and grab a cup of coffee, pastry or to their gorgeous market?! If not then you certainly should! It’s stunning! Sitting right in the middle of an apple orchard, surrounded by acres and acres of farm land you won’t find a more perfect place to sip on your tea or even find a new outfit next door at Pink and Frillos. It’s a gorgeous modern venue at the farm!
While shooting this gorgeous wedding setup pulled together by a dream team of wedding vendors, I couldn’t help but be inspired by all the clean black and white lines full of texture and contrast with the good farm smells and most perfect sunset slowly falling behind. It was seriously a perfect place to enjoy an evening.
Ok, this sail cloth tent is just my favorite.
The goal of this shoot was to show that this gorgeous venue was more than a barn venue. We wanted to show that it could be a beautiful, modern venue too.
With simple details and simple colors I *think* we pulled it off.
Around the farm there are a lot of black and white features so we pulled in those colors to play off of the venue itself plus added in some lush greenery and a pop of terracotta for some fun.
Anytime you can incorporate loose, draping linens and fabrics…..the space instantly becomes more romantic! Special Occasions has SO many options to help make your ideas come to life!
I love, love, love the simple black plates and silverware. They are bold and make a statement!
On the round tables we used different black plates to change up the feeling a little. Still modern, still romantic.
It was too windy to light the candles but they still add height and drama to a tablescape. I love candles! (And the more the better….)
These two are beautiful humans. They may have been models for this shoot….but their actual wedding is THIS weekend!
Girlfriend! You are STUNNING!
There is just something about a simple black tux. Oftentimes we try too hard to be unique and do something different but a black tux is timeless and classy.
Have you ever heard of The Everyday Chef and Wife? They make the most gorgeous (and delicious) grazing tables.
Hello…..yummy food!
And look at these unique cakes! Sweet Details GR always does an outstanding job!
One of the biggest photo problems that I run into at just about every single outdoor wedding is the timing of the ceremony. It’s always too early in the day which makes the sun SUPER bright which, in turn, makes photos not as perfect as I would like….
One solution to this problem is to have your ceremony later in the day at the gorgeous “golden hour”. Having the ceremony start later also creates a problem in itself…. No time for portraits! But envision this…..
Having fun with your bridal party all day – getting ready, drinking mimosas, taking photos and finally seeing your spouse to be for the first time. You can have your first look be private or make a mini event out of it for something fun!
After portraits of the bride and groom are complete, guests start arriving. You and your groom can greet each guest as they walk in. Giving hugs, a quick chat then welcoming them to your celebration for the evening.
You eat dinner, have some cocktails and the two of you sneak out for a few portraits in that gorgeous evening light. After those romantic sunset photos – you two sneak off and go into hiding together.
You can pray together, cuddle for a few minutes, and just take a few moments together – your last minutes before becoming husband and wife.
Your family and friends gather outside your venue for a sweet and super intimate ceremony where you two make promises to one another for the rest of your days.
Once you are finally Mr & Mrs, you can finally celebrate! What a beautiful day that would be. Peaceful, calm and fully centered around your love that is only beginning.
I can’t imagine of anything better!
Thank you to the amazing vendor team that came together to make this gorgeousness happen!
