Fremont Michigan Maternity Photography | Liz and Baby Boy!
This Fremont Michigan maternity session is extra special to me. I photographed this momma-to-be almost six years ago when she was graduating high school for her senior portraits in downtown Grand Rapids. Time sure flies when you are busy living and it is so fun seeing Liz become a mom with her hubby, Mel, as a soon-to-be dad! They will be welcoming a baby boy in a few months which is the greatest gift of all….what a beautiful day that will be!
We met up at a random location in Fremont, my hometown, for their portrait session. This field of hay was just calling for someone to jump in it for photos. The simplicity of the colors, the texture that all of the foliage added, and Liz’s flowy rust red dress made it come together perfectly. The day that we took photos was the day that the forecast was calling for thunderstorms and hot, hot, hot weather! And humidity! Not the best combo for photos….so we switched things up and shot in the morning which was a great decision. The storms from the night before knocked some of the heat out and we, thankfully, survived!

Simple locations are always the best locations in my opinion!! The allow you to focus on what really matters….the beautiful people in the images 🙂
