This gorgeous gal is my niece Emma and this is the second of three senior photo locations; a lavender field, downtown Grand Rapids and the beach! (She’s a little lucky 🙂 ) I think this set of senior photos in downtown Grand Rapids may have some of my favorites. I just love her outfit, the breeze blowing through her hair and the energy that the city brings to the photos. You can easily walk a city block and have a unique set of photos to choose from.

I always enjoy shooting at the Sixth Street Bridge – the lines and the texture are so fun in the background.

This shot below is also a favorite. Simple pose, soft filtered light from the back left…..perfect!

We stopped and took a few photos with some of the art that was covering the boarded up windows from the protests and riots that happened weeks ago in downtown. It’s so amazing when something beautiful can come out of situations like this.

Emma – you are absolutely beautiful. Your lavender field photos were so fun…..these were a blast too! I can’t wait to share your beach photos that we took soon!
