When I say that I love my job…it’s quite the understatement! Shooting this downtown engagement session in Grand Rapids for Hank and Ashley was so fun. They were in Michigan working on wedding day details and traveled all the way from Texas to do so. It was freezing here and they really just killed it! They were so fun…I know their wedding day is going to be absolutely amazing!

Ashley is incredibly photogenic. I seriously can’t wait to photograph her as a bride.

Shooting on film is scary sometimes but also so fun! You don’t know what photos turned out like until you receive them back a couple weeks later…. Even though you have to wait, nothing compares to the look of classic film.

This photo of Ashley below is stunning. This is her pose right here! We need to recreate it on their wedding day. It’s so classic and iconic….something she’ll have to show her grandchildren someday.

I love a good mix of wide and close ups, portraits and detail shots. Telling a story through each session is so important!

Hank & Ashley – thank you for taking these photos with me even though I know you were freezing! I hope they were worth it! Your wedding day will be here before we know it and I can’t wait!! It’s going to be everything!!
