Adam and Mari are married! Their intimate wedding celebration took place at the Carriage House at the Felt Mansion in Holland, Michigan. The day was absolutely perfect. It was warmer than expected but the day was filled with endless joy. So many hugs, so many tears of joy and so much excitement for the steps and days ahead.

These two went to high school together (with me!) but didn’t connect again until many years later. Adam’s sister-in-law, Corrie, and her sister, Ann (who just happens to be Mari’s best friend), set these two up and they were together ever since….leading us to this amazing day!

We started off the day at a hotel where the ladies were busily getting makeup, hair and the final touches on while I was shooting details.

This handsome guy below, Drew, is Mari’s son. He is seriously adorable!

While I was spending time with the ladies, my second photographer, Ryan, was hanging out with the guys at the church.

Their ceremony took place at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in downtown Grand Rapids.

This moment is so sweet where Drew walked Mari down the aisle. Many, many tears of joy at this special time.

Married!!

After the ceremony, we headed over to The Felt Mansion in Holland for portraits where their reception was being held. I have to admit….I may have overdone it on portraits with these two but then again…is that even possible?!

Mari’s dress was gorgeous. I loved the layers of lace and a little bit of sparkle.

Adam looked handsome in his charcoal gray suit. Simple and classic.

Oh goodness, this light! I could have shot in it all day!

The pond near the mansion is so pretty for portraits with the fountain and opportunity for reflections. So, so gorgeous!

Mari, just wow. You are absolutely stunning.

The decor was simple, organic and elegant. Absolutely gorgeous!

Ok, so the food was an absolute hit from The Everyday Chef and Wife. Believe it or not, these were just the appetizers!

Adam gave a short speech and played a slideshow with song for Mari and Drew. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the place. Thank goodness for autofocus on my camera!

So, I said the appetizers were great but look at this dinner!

This may be my favorite first dance photo. The soft sun light, the mansion in the background, the strung twinkle lights. Absolutely perfect.

Now dessert. Goodness…..you just need to hire this amazing caterer/chef asap!

Sunset (or what I call “low light”) photos – what I plan the entire day around. When the light is the softest and lower in the sky.

Adam & Mari – thank you SO incredibly much for trusting me with your wedding photos. Being a part of your day was such an honor for me and I count it as a huge blessing. I hope that you love these for years and years to come. I know it was a long road to get to this point but I pray that your marriage is nothing short of endless happiness starting on day one.
