When Tyler and Madison asked me to be their wedding photographer for their wedding in Ann Arbor I was ecstatic! Their day was absolutely perfect, although crazy hot. So many friends and family members came to celebrate with them, pray over them and send them into their new lives together as husband and wife with endless joy. I’m not sure there’s a better way to start such a treasured journey.
I just love getting ready photos. To me, they represent the little moments in the day that are so easily forgotten. Little hugs between the bride and her mom, the bridesmaids helping calm your nerves and the bride finally putting her dress on for that final time!
Madison – wow. You were stunning. I was speechless when I saw you in your dress!
The groomsmen’s tie clips were all so fun!
This was probably one of the most special moments of the day. Madison’s dad was diagnosed with stage four brain cancer several years ago so he wasn’t sure that he would be there to share in this special day. With much prayer and lots of faith, this past Saturday he witnessed his baby girl say “I do” to her husband and step into the next chapter of her life. As a parent all I can say is…praise The Lord!
Tyler and Madison read notes written to one another before their first look. It was such a simple way to personalize this exciting moment.
This bridal portrait is a favorite.
Cathedral veils. Always.
Ok. So this was hilarious. When it was Tyler’s dad’s turn to come down the aisle…he had something planned. He stopped, unbuttoned his jacket, swung around his fanny pack and started throwing around flowers like he was the flower girl. Now look closely…..right behind him is the father of the bride sweeping up those flowers. I was almost crying laughing so hard…
During the ceremony, they took a moment for everyone to pray for the new couple and invited all pastors to join them on stage. I swear, the whole congregation about emptied onto that stage. It was the best moment.
Married!
I didn’t mention it before….but it was almost 100 degrees outside that day with pure humidity so I tried keeping everyone inside as much as possible. I love how their bridal party photos turned out!
Their reception decor was so fun. Modern boho with a gorgeous grazing table and sweet treats!
What a perfect day!
Tyler & Madison – thank you for asking me to photograph your wedding day. I had so much fun and loved meeting your wonderful families. I pray that you’ll love these images for so many years to come!
xoxo – Kellie
