Shooting a photography session in the Adirondack Mountains was surely going to produce some of my favorite images….especially since they are of one of my favorite models. My gorgeous daughter, Addison!
Before heading on our road trip last spring, my eight year old daughter and I started dreaming up ideas for a fun photo shoot in the mountains full of big, beautiful dresses, backdrops of mountain ranges and anything else that would make it special. We found the perfect red dress on Zulily that would surely make her pop off of the background. Red is a little bolder than I would normally choose for photos, but we thought we’d try something different this time. I also knew there wouldn’t be much color in the mountains in the early spring when we were visiting….so Addy would be the color! We spent a little extra time in our rental house curling her hair to make her feel extra special and headed out on our journey. The sun came out for a little while so we were all smiles!
Here are some of my favorite images!
Ok, so I may be a little biased, but isn’t my daughter absolutely stunning?!
I love how you can see a little bit of snow left on top of Whiteface Mountain in most of these images….
Oh Addy, please don’t grow up too fast.
I just adore how she is all about adventure. She wore her boots all day b/c it was cold and wet, but I asked her to hop on those rocks barefoot….and she just went for it!
The Adirondack Mountains are one of my favorite places on earth. I loved doing a session of Addy here, but I’m just dying to do a photography session of a bride and groom in the Adirondack Mountains too!!
Joe wanted to do some fishing at our favorite spot so Addy and I decided to take a few more photos in her pretty dress 🙂
We were there in the spring so the AuSable River was moving so fast!
Beautiful, beautiful girl.
Maybe one of these days I’ll have a full recap of our road trip and vacation in the Adirondack Mountains…..it was SO fun!
