Another lovely lady is sharing her boudoir experience today. She’s pretty much one of the best women I know…and just happens to be my sister!
What did you think of your boudoir experience? I thought that my boudoir experience was surprisingly rewarding. I didn’t anticipate the level of comfort that I felt and the fun experience that I had.
Is there anything you wish you would have done differently? I wish I would have put more forethought into my boudoir shoot. This isn’t something I get to experience everyday! More outfit choices and research would’ve made me feel more prepared.
Did you have any misconceptions going into the shoot? I had many misconceptions going into this shoot. The importance eluded me and without Kellie’s talks of “how are you going to feel you looked today when you are in your 70’s” or “your husband loves your body and you should embrace it” I would not have agreed to go through with it!
How did you feel during the session? I felt surprisingly confident and into the situation. My nerves almost overtook me leading up to the date but once I arrived and had my makeover I was ready to model!
What did your hubby think of the photos? I had the pleasure of hearing my husband’s reaction over the phone as he opened his birthday gift. There were a lot of “oh my” “honey!” and “WOW” comments that boosted my confidence and let me know that I made the right choice.
Is there anything else you’d like to add? This is an experience that I firmly believe every women should have. Each woman is beautiful and should feel as such. Being pampered for a day feels exquisite and puts a healthy self-concept in the forefront of your mind. Women tend to nitpick about themselves while glorifying attributes that others embody. This experience allows you to let go of your insecurities and show yourself that God made you the way that you are and embrace it.
