Grand Rapids Wedding Photographer // Sex and the City Wedding Inspiration!

Shelby, from The Day’s Design, and I dreamed up this inspiration shoot earlier this year.  We have been patiently waiting to share it with you because we knew it was being featured on the lovely Every Last Detail wedding blog.  It was posted today, so we are beyond thrilled to show some of the glitzy-glam details!

We both wanted to show more of an upscale-downtown wedding that Carrie (from Sex and the City) and the girls would have attended, with lots of sparkle, big hair and even a pair of Manolo Blahniks.  After spending hours doing research (AKA watching episodes and movies again) we think we pulled it off!  It was such a fun experience getting to know Shelby and photographing something so pretty!

Our ladies started off their day at Cheeky Strut where they were made even more gorgeous than they already were!

Carrie’s gown is slightly ombre towards the bottom…love!

As always, Modern Day Floral did an amazing job with the floral pieces.

Totally fell in love with the stationery from Emily Ross Creative.

Of course, we had to have some Manolo Blahnik’s for the photo shoot. 

The perfect Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha!

Shelby came up with this ceremony backdrop idea and it was PERFECT!  Inspired by Carrie’s fun and sassy newsprint dress from the TV series.

This shoot wouldn’t be the same without a yellow taxi!

LOVE Carrie’s hat!  Shelby makes them herself and has a full gorgeous line to offer!

Didn’t Erik make a handsome Mr. Big? (even more handsome in my opinion!)

Erik & Lauren were the best models ever…and fit the part of Carrie and Mr. Big so well (even though they have never watched the movies or series).

Yes, we had an ice sculpture!
