I have been so excited to share these images…maybe it’s because I love the location or maybe it’s because I simply adore this family. Either way, I think you’ll love them too!! I met up with these four on a rooftop of a parking garage in Grand Rapids for their family photos. It may seem like a rather odd idea, but it’s really not if you think about it….. A wide open space with no cars, a great view of the buildings, nothing obstructing the pretty light, plain concrete to use as a reflector and gorgeous views in almost every direction. I have to say….it’s rather ingenious!
Here are some of my favorites! (This was supposed to be a mini session but it really ended up being so much more haha….. I couldn’t help myself with their gorgeous clothing colors popping off the concrete and the city in the background!)

Look at the buildings in the background – layers and layers of texture that get blurrier and blurrier as they get further in the distance. It’s the little things, friends!

This shot was fun. I wanted to focus on mom and dad and have the kids blurry in the foreground 🙂
