Destination Wedding Photographer // Brad & Kristen – Married in Punta Gorda, Florida!

Brad and Kristen were SO fun!  I met them in Punta Gorda, Florida to photograph their day which was a treat for me.  Such a different landscape with new textures and backdrops than I am used to here in Michigan.  I just LOVE destination weddings!  

They had friends and family join them from all over the country to celebrate their wedding which made it even more special.  Here are some of my favorite images from the day.

I loved the detail in Kristen’s dress.  So delicate and pretty.

According to Brad, they are self-proclaimed “NASA-nerds”.  Because of this, the dark grey in both of their rings is from a meteorite that a friend gave to Brad.  So unique and special!!

They decided to get ready together before the wedding….which I thought was such a fun idea! 

Those cute little birds on the invite below play an important role throughout their wedding.  They met through friends on Twitter, so you’ll see lots of birds later at the reception dinner..

Trading in my usual pine trees for palm trees was pretty nice this time of year…

The sun disappeared behind the clouds and the wind picked up….but that gave us some different light for a little moodier photos.  Love!

Kristen grew most of the flowers herself for the wedding.

I always try to capture another ring shot during dinner if time allows.  I had to get one with these cute love birds….
