Grand Rapids Engagement Photographer // Mike & Cassie!
Mike & Cassie went to high school together….my high school actually. He was a year older…..but you could see that spark back then. Fast forward several years….and here we are! Working out timeline details for their August wedding in beautiful Spring Lake. After chatting with them about their special day I became even more excited to photograph it! Fun colors, a wedding party full of great friends and a couple excited for sunset shots! Now that’s my kind of bride and groom!!
We wandered around the woods together for their engagement session, dodging piles of “unpleasantries” from canine passerbys and looking for the best nooks and crannies for photos. To say that each session is an adventure would be quite accurate.
Engagement sessions are SO important! They help the couple and I get to know one another before showing up on their wedding day. This also allows me to learn how the couple acts together and how they photograph. Figuring this out on the day of the wedding can be done, but meeting ahead of time always calms the nerves and makes for one less stressor on that important date.
I love these cute signs. I think Cassie is pretty excited about taking Mike’s last name!
