I am beyond excited to share these images with you today! Being a wedding photographer takes me to super amazing places once in a while like New York City to take photos which is such a favorite part of my job!
This vow renewal was so sweet and special. Leading up to this date, I spoke with the couple about timelines, location ideas and logistics about getting to and from each spot. Let me tell you…that was no easy feat!
My three main goals for these images were: 1 – make these two look like they were the only two people in the city, 2 – capture photos that reflected my style and that also had an editorial feel and 3 – make sure these two went away with a huge gallery that they’ll enjoy for years. I think we accomplished each of those!
In order to get the gorgeous shots without a bunch of people in them, we had to meet super early in the morning. Because of that….I didn’t have sunlight to take detail shots that day so I took them the night before. The light was perfect!
Jane’s Carousel wasn’t on the shot list but when I saw it all lit up, we just had to take a few shots. Those peachy oranges even fit our color palette!
Goodness, I just love the shot below. It may be an all time favorite. The Brooklyn Bridge, One World Trade Center, lower Manhattan and those gorgeous two in one perfect shot.
We ventured out onto the bridge for some more photos of that icon and the sun rose for a perfect morning golden hour.
Our next stop was the New York Public Library. I loved the clean lines of the architecture, the white marble and the clean slate that it offered us for photos. Simply perfect!
I searched and searched until we found the perfect florist to create us a soft and romantic bouquet in shades of light pinks and peach tones. A Lily Among Thorns nailed it!
Oh that veil. Cathedral veil for the win!
I’m still dying over here knowing that we got a shot in front of the library without anyone else in the photo. What a blessing!
This may be an all-time favorite bride shot. I love the lines, architecture and movement of her veil. Just stunning!
Lisa – you are gorgeous!
And this shot….just simple and pretty. I love it!
After the library, we hopped into a taxi and went to the Bethesda Fountain at Central Park. This isn’t my typical light and airy location but I just had to shoot somewhere different (and I wanted to see it as a tourist too 😉 ).
This location took a little more work because it was late morning at this point so people were arriving to enjoy the park….but it seems like you always get a free pass when you have a wedding dress on!
And one last image that makes me heart beat an extra beat. In love!
Mark & Lisa – thank you for going on the fun New York City adventure with me, helping me check this gorgeous place off my bucket list for photos. I hope you love these images for years to come! You two are absolutely so fun and sweet….I hope we get to see one another again soon! I know I’ll be back!
xoxo – Kellie
