Tyler and Lizzy’s wedding at Moss Ridge Golf Club will always be a favorite of mine. One of the reasons is because Tyler is our nephew and was also our ring bearer almost fourteen years ago…so being able to be there, photographing his wedding was so special. Another reason that this wedding is a favorite is because I absolutely love his wife, Lizzy. She is obviously gorgeous, kind, funny and just great to be around. Definitely the type of person that you want joining the family!
These two met many, many years ago….in middle school to be exact. It’s not very often that you meet a married couple that were MIDDLE school sweethearts! In Lizzy’s vows she even mentioned that Tyler was her first love…. How incredibly sweet is it that her first and only love is her husband?! Seriously…too many tears were flowing that day!
I love seeing hydrangeas in March….showing us whats to come in a few months!
Lizzy’s dress was so pretty with all the delicate layers, but I’m pretty sure she would have looked gorgeous in any dress she chose!
This special time between Lizzy and her mom was so special for me to photograph. It makes me excited for the day when I get to be there supporting my two girls (but not too soon!!)
The groom’s details.
Lizzy going to meet her man for their first look 😉
I’m not sure if you knew this….but I LOVE first looks!
It’s not very often that you have the chance to get this type of reaction when 200 people are looking at you walking down the aisle (but believe me, you can still get caught up in the moment while walking down the aisle even if you do a first look….right Lizzy?! 😉 )
I’m not sure what their conversation was during this private time, but that’s the best part….the time was just for them.
We had been praying for weeks, months rather, for good weather…but here in Michigan you just never know. In preparation for poor conditions, we reserved space at a local indoor location with great light so we would be sure to get great images no matter the situation. Thankfully, the Lord answered those prayers and gave us a March day filled with sunshine!
Both of my daughters were flower girls….but this is my youngest, Gabby.
The photo below is one of my favorites. FIVE children looking great!
We went to a farm for portraits and dodged mud like crazy. I wore rain boots and we made it work. The results were SO worth the preparation!
Wow, just wow, Lizzy. You are absolutely stunning.
Bouquets and veils – two of my favorite things!
Goodness girl, could you be any more beautiful?!
This one is a framer…or a big canvas!
The church where they both grew up going together….through youth group now all the way to their wedding!
I absolutely love these images below. The left one is where Lizzy could hardly make it through her vows (which made me hardly be able to shoot through my camera….so many happy tears!), so Tyler had to give her a hug mid-ceremony. What a good husband he will be. The photo on the right is when both sets of their parents came up on stage and prayed for the two of them and their marriage. So special.
My mother-in-law made this gorgeous (and delicious) cake!
We had been praying and praying for sun…which also meant we got a gorgeous sunset when our prayers were answered!
Their laughter is so infectious!
I just love a photo that isn’t in focus once in a while. I’m not sure why, but it just feels dreamy 🙂
This photo had to be included…because look at that flower girl’s face when she caught the bouquet! (And that just happens to be my oldest daughter, Addison.)
Such an amazing day surround by so many people that love them. Congratulations Tyler & Lizzy!!
Thank you both SO much for asking us to be such a special part of your day. I pray that you’ll love your images for years to come. It was SO special being there to celebrate with you and extra special being behind the scenes for the entire day 🙂
xoxo – Kellie
