The Grand Haven Holiday Inn is a gorgeous place for a wedding. Their proximity to the shores of Lake Michigan is perfect for those dreamy wedding portraits that I always strive to deliver…so I think you are going to love this wedding!
Marko and Rachel’s wedding day was such a great day. They were married in the middle of October in Michigan…so anything could have happened! In the past, we have had had rain storms, lots of wind and snow even….but not on this day. Their day was perfect. The sun was shining and the weather was nothing short of perfect. I thing that is the best start to any marriage!
We started their day on the beach for portraits. If you aren’t from Michigan, then you may not know that our beaches have been torn apart this year. The high water levels and crazy wind have been tearing our gorgeous sand dunes and stunning beaches down, but these two were up for anything! We first took some bride and groom photos up in the beach grass then ventured down near the water where my favorite photos were taken.

Marko’s suit was on point. I loved the blue….it was more of a cobalt and so handsome against the neutral beach.
They had some pops of Halloween mixed in throughout their day as well! (wait until you see their cake from Ryke’s Bakery!)
After their beach portraits, we headed back to the hotel and found their sweet little daughter, Lydia, for some family photos.

Once the sun was closer to setting, they had an intimate ceremony inside the reception space surrounded by their most treasured people in this world. It was so sweet. (I may have teared up a bit!)
