Photographing Ryan and Desiree Linden’s gorgeous wedding at The Inn at Bay Harbor was such an honor and a super fun experience! Not only were they so laid back and easy to get along with….they were kind and generous too! The kind of people that make you wish they lived closer so you could be good friends. I knew the wedding would be gorgeous, but I had no idea that the weather would be so perfect. We sure ended up being lucky having such a great day!
Ryan and Desiree are marathon runners, Desiree even participated in the London Olympics, so naturally, that is how they met. I think that Desiree’s Maid of Honor and sister, Natalie, said it best: “Love is friendship – love blossomed on a run. Which run? I don’t know exactly, but I’m confident in saying that the foundation of their relationship was built over miles and miles and miles, and continues to grow stronger with many miles to go.” So true and so perfect!
Isn’t the Inn at Bay Harbor gorgeous? This was our first time visiting….we want to go back every year now 🙂
I totally fell in love with Desiree’s Monique Lhuillier gown
Awesome watch as Ryan’s wedding gift from Desiree (Joe said I need to start saving so he can have one too….lol)
J. Crew for the men!
First Look
The rocky shoreline of Lake Superior is such a nice change of pace for wedding photos instead of the sandy shoreline I normally shoot on 🙂
SO beautiful….there were even half a dozen white sailboats in the background (I’m wondering if they planned it…. 🙂 )
Desiree looked gorgeous!
Married!
A few more bridal portraits and some photos with the bridal party too!
These BHLDN dresses were so pretty. These ladies actually CAN wear their dresses again!
We were all pining for that $11.5 million yacht in the background. Ryan and Desiree hoped it was a wedding gift….I was hoping it was a big “Thank You” gift (Both of us were wrong….)
The tent decor was simple, classy and was filled with pops of color.
In lieu of wedding favors, they made a donation to The One Fund. The One Fund is an organization that was formed after the 2013 Boston Marathon to help the victims and their families that were affected by the horrible events that took place that day. Ryan and Desiree were at the marathon to do some signings, but thankfully weren’t running the race.
Of course, we had to sneak outside for a few sunset shots. I’m so glad that we did right at that moment, because it was perfect!
I decided to play around with some long exposures and ended up with this shot….love the sailboats and stars 🙂
Ryan & Desiree – thank you so much for asking us to be such a special part of your day. You were so kind and so fun all day long…. Your wedding will certainly be one to remember for years to come!!
xoxo – Kellie
